Terms and conditions

1. The service

Traack lets you log meals and ingredients, track calories, macros, weight, and activity, see your trends and statistics, and optionally use AI features and social features. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Traack. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.
• You may sign in with email and password or with Google. You are responsible for the security of the sign-in method you choose.
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Your content

• You keep ownership of the content you create — your meals, ingredients, photos, weight and activity data, comments, and other entries.
• You grant Traack the licence needed to host, store, process, and display your content so we can provide the service to you, including uploading images to our storage and showing your shared content to other users.
• You are responsible for the content you upload. You must have the right to use it and it must not be illegal, infringing, abusive, or otherwise in breach of section 6.
• We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.

5. Public profiles and social features

Your profile and any meals you choose to share are public and can be seen by other users, along with their photos, comments, and likes. Do not share anything you would not want to be public. When you interact with other people's content through comments, likes, or follows, you agree to do so respectfully. We may remove content or restrict accounts that harass others or break these terms.

6. Acceptable use

When using Traack, you agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual-property rights.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that you do not have permission to share.
• Attempt to access other users' private data, or interfere with the security of the app, our database, or our storage.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or misuse the service, the AI features, or our automated systems.
• Use the AI features to generate prohibited content or to circumvent credit limits.

7. AI features

• Traack offers AI features that recognise food from photos, transcribe voice notes, and generate diet and metrics suggestions. These run through our AI provider, OpenAI, as described in our Privacy policy.
• AI features consume credits. Each AI request uses a number of credits depending on the feature and, for image requests, on how many images you include.
• AI outputs — including recognised foods, estimated macros, transcriptions, and suggestions — are automated estimates. They can be inaccurate or incomplete, and you should review and correct them before relying on them.

8. No medical advice

Traack is a tracking and informational tool, not a medical device or a source of medical, nutritional, or professional health advice. Calorie and macro figures are estimates. Do not use Traack to diagnose, treat, or manage any health condition. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, or health routine. You use the app and act on its information at your own risk.

9. Pro plan, credits, and payments

• Traack offers a paid Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) and one-time purchases of additional AI credits. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method.
• Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• A Pro plan includes a recurring allowance of AI credits. Additional credit packs are one-time purchases. Credits are used to run AI features, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or transferred.
• We may change prices or plans. Changes to recurring prices apply from your next billing period, and we will give notice where required by law.

10. How credits work

Credits are the unit Traack's AI features use. Each Pro plan includes a recurring allowance of credits and, if you need more, you can buy additional one-time credit packs. The current prices and amounts are always shown at checkout; for reference, these are the current costs and allowances:

• Cost per use: each AI chat message uses 3 credits, each diet or metrics suggestion uses 5 credits, and each image you attach to an AI request adds 1.5 credits.
• Pro Monthly ($2.99/month): includes 100 AI credits every month.
• Pro Yearly ($24.99/year): includes 1,300 AI credits per year, which works out to one extra month free compared with the monthly plan.
• Additional credit packs (one-time purchase): 100 credits ($1.99), 400 credits ($6.99), or 1,000 credits ($9.99).
• Credits included with your plan refresh at the start of each billing period. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred. AI features can only be used with an active Pro plan.

11. Plan limits

The free plan lets you use Traack with some limits; the Pro plan removes those limits and unlocks the AI features. The current limits are:

• Free plan: up to 20 saved ingredients, up to 5 pre-saved meals, and up to 3 months of macro history and trends. The free plan does not include AI features or credits.
• Pro plan: unlimited ingredients and pre-saved meals, full macro history and trends, AI suggestions for your objectives, and your plan's AI credit allowance (see section 10).

12. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then; we do not provide partial refunds for the remainder of a period unless required by law. Purchased credits and already-used services are non-refundable except where the law gives you a right to a refund (for example statutory withdrawal rights). Nothing in these terms removes any consumer rights you have that cannot be waived.

13. Third-party services

Traack relies on third-party providers, including Google Firebase (accounts, database, storage, and backend), OpenAI (AI processing), Stripe (payments), and Google sign-in. Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers' own terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

14. Intellectual property

Traack, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not give you any right to use our name, logos, or software except as needed to use the app normally.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Traack and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where we are required to by law. When your account is deleted, your data is handled as described in our Privacy policy.

16. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data, estimate, or AI output will be accurate or complete.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Traack and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or for any decisions you make based on the app's content or AI outputs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Traack after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

19. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of Traack is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. For any question about these terms, contact us at legal@traack.app.
